A MOBILE youth club has been set up in Salford to tackle anti-social behaviour.
The club on wheels, fitted with £4,500 worth of equipment, has a chill-out area and games consoles to encourage youngsters to get off the streets and avoid trouble.
The club visited crime hotspots in the city and youth workers gave advice about what activities youngsters can do and bad effects of smoking.
Also to tackle crime, 2,500 homes in Winton will have forensic paint put on possessions which is invisible to the naked eye but stains burglar's clothes and skin, allowing them to be identified.
Coun David Lancaster said: "One of the main problems we have is there are still a number of youths hanging around on street corners causing trouble.
"They have nowhere else to go and that's where the mobile van and youth workers get involved."

Why cant dancehalls and discos be set up in each area for teens.I think so many would turn up and entry fees could cover costs.
IN THE 60'S WE COULD GO TO DISCOS EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK.i DONT REMEMBER EVER SEEING ANY TROUBLE. What do under 18's want to doin the evenings that would take them off the street?
