What does your job entail?

I specialise in non-contentious commercial law, with a particular focus on technology and complex outsourcing transactions. This means working on contracts with customers and suppliers in public and private sectors.

How much time do you spend working out of the office?

It varies. In the past I've spent time on secondment to clients, or just working on larger transactions, where I can be working away from the office all week. I also spend some time working from home.

What is your most useful gadget?

An obvious choice, my BlackBerry wins this award by a distance. Phone, text messages, emails, calendar, web-browser, alarm, not forgetting camera and BrickBreaker.

What gadgets could you not live without?

My digital camera - I recently bought a new one after losing my old one on the top of a ski slope. Also, my Nintendo DS, because it allows me to re-live my childhood gaming experiences.

What's been your biggest gadget nightmare?

A laptop crash during a completion meeting was not fun, and it makes you realise just how dependent you are on your technology working properly. Having said that, credit must go to our IT team in London, for getting me back up and running with the minimum of fuss.

Do you Twitter, Facebook, Myspace or Bebo?

I'm a big fan of Facebook, primarily for providing me with a virtual photo album for all my digital photos, which all my friends can look at too. I also browse MySpace for new (and old) music.

Is social networking useful for work?

I think it is an untapped resource at the moment.

What piece of equipment would you most like to get your hands on and why?

A Wii Fit board. A friend grabbed one of these before they became impossible to find - I need the skiing practice.

What would make your life easier at work?

Ubiquitous wireless coverage and less indiscriminate use of the 'Reply All' button.
