Pensioner beaten by robber

A PENSIONER was left with a fractured collarbone after he was beaten in his own home by a robber.

The thief forced his way into the 67-year-old's home in Tonge Moor, Bolton, at 10.20am on Tuesday, and demanded cash.

When the man handed his money over the offender punched him in the face.

The offender was white, in his early to mid 20s, 5ft 7in, and of slim build. Detectives believe he was not alone as more than one man was seen leaving the scene.

Det Sgt Denise Pye said: "This is a shameful crime on a vulnerable person, and we are doing everything that we can to get those responsible before they attack again. We believe that there are more people out there who can assist our inquiries."

She is appealing for anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 5609 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The poor pensioner handed the money over. So why did this filthy scum have to hit him in the face. It becoming all too common now, that the elderly are being attacked in their own homes. The lowlife scum who attack them are cowards for the fact of the knowledge that they cannot defend themselves because of their frailty. The courts should hand down very hefty jail terms to the dirty cowardly scum who commits these acts. If I had my way I'd *******! shoot them. Hope the filth who attacked this pensioner IN HIS OWN HOME, is caught and brought to justice FAST.

This is getting a daily thing ? beating our elders up for pennies.Itd time to write to your MP and tell them unless they reintroduce the birch and the death penalty back you will vote for a party that will....its now time to do something to stop the elderly and the innocent being targeted by this scum .

Isn't it time to hand out life sentences for violent crime against the elderly?
anyone who would stoop this low ,ever, should not be allowed their freedom.
