A HEAD teacher who was such a success he was asked to take on a second school is awarded a CBE for services to education.
Tarun Kapur had already made a success of Ashton-on-Mersey Secondary Modern, which was deemed `outstanding' under his leadership.
The father of three was then asked to take on struggling Broadoak High School in Partington, where he quickly managed to improve standards.
He was later put in charge of a temporary team to run Parrs Wood High School in Didsbury which was placed in special measures after Ofsted inspectors branded it `inadequate'.
