Noisy drivers face the music

A CRACKDOWN has been launched on noisy drivers.

Officers in Whaley Bridge in the High Peak are targeting nuisance motorists who play loud music and have ear-splitting exhausts.

Police Community Support Officer Pat Findlay-Wilson said: "Our message to drivers is to have a consideration for other people in the community.

"We will be out and about to identify those drivers who are found to be causing a nuisance to others.

"Any motorist caught driving in such a manner will risk being issued with a fixed penalty notice or even having their vehicle seized."

The crackdown comes after complaints to police about speeding motorists driving dangerously, and causing a noise nuisance with loud exhausts and music.

So its not just on public transport where people cause a nuisance with their annoying music blaring out of speakers. Hmm those comments relating to voting no for TIF for these reasons seems to overlook this fact.

Since the berlin wall came down, have / are they re-building it around the uk???. over filled bins, bins put out too early, smoking in a public building, just a few of the nuisance's on the public. when i for 1 would much rather them catch hit & run/ drink drivers, armed criminals, drug dealers, theives, muggers.But no they are too hard to catch, lets get the easy targets.....

Half of this behaviour is meted out young chavteenscum drivers who think nothing of disturbing others with their clublandchav music/headache hardcore music etc and making an unnecessary racket with their bigbore exhausts. Insurance companies should REFUSE to insure young people who have high power stereos in their vehicles and bigbore racket exhausts and it should be illegal to drive round with music on fullblast and booming noisy exhausts.

This is laughable, I live in the area and for one would rather see them put their time and efforts to better use. Traffic police (whether the plastic type or the real deal) do nothing no matter how much you complain/report things. Is it anywonder people have no respect for each other when there is no-one prepared to do anything. False promises as usual I will beleive it when I see it.

And loud exhausts and engines etc? For those unfortunates who just have to draw attention to themselves, yet think they appear clever. Very sad.

Perhaps counselling may be the answer?

What do you want the youth of today to do? they cant really do much these days without being blasted by you sad moaning people. They sit in playing game consoles and get called fat and lazy, they go to the pubs and they're binge drinkers, they gather in a group and they get called a gang, they play music and spend time and money tuning their cars and they're now criminals. where will this nonsense stop? GET a LIFE.

Bonzo, who mentioned youths on their own? You see and hear people in their 20's and 30's annoying others with this sort of thing. The story is about noisy drivers.

Are PCSO's allowed to drive Police cars...? I thought they were only trusted to ride pushbikes. How are they going to catch the noisy cars?
