RAIL services were stopped after a man threatened to jump in front of a train. The man was sectioned under the Mental Health Act after he trespassed on the tracks at Kearsley railway station on the main Manchester-to-Bolton line just after 11am today.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said he was found by officers in a field close to the station.
Trains were stopped or diverted until officers detained the man and rail services then resumed. "Train services are now running as usual," said a BTP spokesman.

Luckily those of us in cars were able to be in work on time today.
I'm voting no because I can't afford to be late for any more meetings.
That's one delay chief. Think about that when you're getting up at 6am to try and beat the gridlock.
