Locked up

Stacey Louise Taylor, born 21/02/88, of Chapel Court, Hyde, was found guilty of child cruelty following the death of her six-month-old boy Jack, who died of pneumonia. She was sentenced to three years in prison.

The MEN is naming and shaming criminals convicted of the most serious offences.

We will be publishing an online gallery of offenders who have been convicted and jailed at courts around Greater Manchester throughout December.

Click on the picture gallery to see images of the criminals and details of their crimes.

They all look gentle souls don't they !

My word, censoring comments that criticize the MEN whatever next ? Again, as the caption says "sentenced in his absence" is number 3 still at large ? See you changed the text but not the headline which is still misleading.

I apologise, my previous post was incorrect, text still says they've all been jailed - will you answer my question, does that include No3 "sentenced in his absence"?

Manchester Evening News, remember the old days when they had the stocks and the public good or bad would come and take their frustrations out on whoever was in the stocks by using old veg and stones. Is this a modern version, virtual reality stocks where we can say virtually what we want because you know they do deserve a tongue lashing

let them slop out and bread and water only.they will probably be better off than most of us well fed and kept warm with no bills costing taxpayer £1000 a week and they moan about people on benefit or the disabled on peanuts each week.

I see the good people in the world then I see these probably some worse than others and I think of the victims, but I ask myself would I not put up a fight if they came in my property? not on your nelly, some of these take no prisoners and I suppose that would be the way I would have to act to protect myself.

I think they should have proper hard labour in prison out in the rain turning fields all day and filling the trenches with manure.

MEN - The public are interested in knowing about such crimes and sentences...why not make it a permanent feature?
The only thing that seems odd is that the article states "the most serious offences" and indeed the offences seem serious - however there are a lot of only 3 and 4 year sentences being handed out...

Seems to me that one of the characteristics of being a criminal is to be hit by the ugly stick!

could you imagine some of these as parking wardens or wheelie bin wardens

This is all very well but surely it drives a coach and horses through their human rights.

I'm shocked and sadden to see that the MEN is encouraging vigilanties by posting the addresses of people knowing that some may live with family or friends.

What makes me laugh about the gun culture members is this, they intimidate with fear with the gun, you take that gun away and they are just them with fists, and I know they are limited and it wouldn't be long before they were knocked into place. But they need the gun because they are cowards and they know it. A Taylor is nothing more than a skunk with the markings to prove it.

I think this wonderful idea by The Manchester Evening News should become a regular feature along with all convicted kerbcrawlers as their partners need to know they might be at risk as a result of their partners actions. With regard to offenders human rights being violated.....Oh dear what a pity....Did they stop and think about their victims Human Rights.
Well done MEN please consider continuing the name and shame gallery.

Isn't this a little hurtful to them?

All the more reason to do it.
