ARMED officers hunting for a gunman who shot at a pub have raided a house in Moston.

Eyewitnesses say around 15 officers, armed with guns and holding shields, swooped on the property on Parkfield Road North in New Moston.

They seized two shotguns and a quantity of ammunition.

The swoop is thought to be in connection with an incident at the New Moston pub on Belgrave Road where a man shot through one of the windows.

No one was inside the pub at the time.

Police say inquiries to trace the offender are ongoing.
