A TEENAGER suffered serious head injuries after he was struck by a car.

The 15-year-old was hit by a Volkswagen Golf on Grimshaw Lane, in Middleton, near to its junction with Haslam Street.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as non life threatening.

A 14-year-old girl was also struck. She suffered minor injuries. The driver was not injured.
