A TEENAGE girl was brutally raped after being dragged into bushes in Heaton Park, Manchester, in broad daylight. The girl was walking through the park, at Middleton Road, Higher Blackley, when the man pounced.
The victim was so traumatised by the attack police have only just learned of the incident. The attacker was white, in his 20s, about 5ft 4in and of small build. He had black hair, curly on top and short at the sides, while his face was of a 'rectangular' shape. He had small dark eyes. He was clean shaven, but his skin was 'bad'. He wore a black leather jacket and baggy, light-coloured jeans with white trainers.
Det Con Neil Blyth said the victim had been 'very brave' in coming forward. Anyone with information of the attack, which took place between 11am and 2pm on September 3, is asked to call Grey Mare Lane CID on 0161 856 3540 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
