A WOMAN was left shaking after a bullet fired during a drive-by shooting narrowly missed her.

Tyrone Gilbert, 23, was killed in the same attack at Frobisher Close, Longsight last July.

He was among mourners attending a wake for Ucal Chin, 24, who had been shot dead weeks earlier.

The Liverpool Crown Court murder trial heard that a bullet passed through the front seat windows of a car at the scene but the woman inside escaped unhurt.

Moments after the shots were fired the court heard a witness spotted two cars from a window on Markfield Avenue rev up and spin their wheels before driving off towards Bletchley Close.

The prosecution claim alleged members of south Manchester's notorious Gooch Gang took part in the drive-by before driving off to Firethorn Avenue in Burnage.

Colin Joyce, Lee Amos and Aeeron Campbell, Narada Williams and Ricardo Williams all deny the murder of Tyrone Gilbert and the attempted murder of Michael Gordon who was shot in the leg at the same time.

A witness, whose face was shielded from the court, described seeing two men run from a car at Firethorn Avenue but said he couldn't identify them.

Another witness David Edwards testified he heard a car screech on to Firethorn Avenue on the night of the murder before hearing four car doors closing within seconds of each other.

He also claimed he saw an Audi reverse at speed out of the road.

The prosecution allege that two Audis and a Honda Legend were used by the gunmen in the murder.

Brian Gowland, a Sale car dealer, testified that on July 19th - eight days before Tyrone Gilbert was killed - he sold an Audi S4 to two men for around £5,000. He claimed one of the men was stocky while the other was average in build. He originally described the men as Asian before appearing to change his mind and saying they were black.
