APPRENTICE finalist Alex Wotherspoon has swapped his suit for a skin-tight silver lycra outfit for his latest TV outing.

The Bolton-raised former sales executive squeezed his 6ft 4in frame into the shiny leotard for the BBC1 game show Hole in the Wall.

Alex, 25, then had to try to get through various shapes in a giant moving wall or end up in a swimming pool.

However, Alex was happy to make a fool of himself on the show, hosted by Dale Winton, as it helped raise £10,000 for a children's charity in Bolton.

Alex, whose family live in Westhoughton, Bolton, said: "I only went on the show because they told me I could win money for a charity of my choice, but it was a good laugh."

The cash will help buy a new minibus for the Children's Opportunity Group, a charity started by Alex's aunt, Nicola McGuinness, to take children with special needs on trips.

The group was struggling to raise £24,000 for the minibus, with half coming from the Variety Club of Great Britain and Alex having raised £2,000 by auctioning off a date with himself.

Nicola said: "He's a lovely lad. I don't know what we would have done without his help."

Since losing out on The Apprentice earlier this year, Alex has been in demand for TV appearances and also signed up with model agency Models 1.

He also works for London law firm Hammond, but lives in Manchester with his girlfriend and regularly commutes to the capital.

"It's certainly been hectic," he said.

Hole in the Wall is on tonight at 5.25pm
