INDIE rock favourites The Killers have announced a Manchester date as part of an arena tour.
The Las Vegas band will play the M.E.N. Arena on March 9, 2009, as part of their biggest tour to date.
After winning over fans with albums Hot Fuss and Sam's Town - which sold a total of 12 million copies - the band, fronted by Brandon Flowers, release their new album Day and Age on November 24.
The band are reportedly preparing a Christmas single with Elton John entitled `Joseph, Better You Than Me'.
There are 10 gigs at stadiums around Britain, including Sheffield and Nottingham.
Tickets for the Manchester gig, priced at £32.50, go on sale at 10am on October 10, from the box office on 0844 847 8000, online at www.gigsandtours.com, or from the ticket hotline on 0871 2200 260.

Again we see our pc lawmakers,going mad, with more "pc gone mad" type madness.
What about The Victims,don't they get a chance to play ?Yet again the rights of the criminals,are placed above that of the decent,law abiding,decent person,in the street,minding their own business,being decent ,and indeed innocent.
I don't need to know the facts,or indeed hear any details, to know all about this,the headline alone,tells me enough,to get me riled.
This rehabilitation, of these no doubt,evil and vicious killers,using taxpayers taxes is just another example of open door Britain,and Euro superstate madness,directed from Brussels.
I bet the mad pc gone mad brigades, of pc social workers,and nanny goats,are all smiles as Red Ken Livingstone, puts another nail in the coffin of family values.
