A TEENAGE boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car.
The accident, involving a silver Nissan Almera, happened as the 16-year-old was crossing Street Bridge Road near to its junction with Cragg Road, in Chadderton, Oldham.
The teenager was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital suffering from a broken arm, broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a possible bleed to the brain.
Police said his condition was serious but stable, and the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
