A MAN has been charged with threatening paramedics on an emergency call.

Police were called to an address on Vale Drive, Coldhurst, following reports ambulance crews were being threatened at knifepoint.

When they arrived they found the paramedics had locked themselves in a downstairs room

Leonard Paul Hilton, 44, of Vale Drive, Coldhurst, has been charged with false imprisonment, threats to kill and affray.

He appeared at Oldham Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday October 9.
