Crash sparks traffic chaos

A TRAM and a Mercedes car crashed in Manchester city centre today causing major disruption to traffic.

The accident happened in Mosley Street near Manchester Art Gallery at 1.20pm.

The car driver was unhurt but a passenger from the tram was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Mosley Street was closed to allow police to examine the scene and remove the car.

I'm glad it was not a Skoda, there would have been cake all over Mossley Street.

Just seen a ford tranny, it rammed the handrail on Barton high level bridge, lots of rubber necking and massive jams. So what is the big deal, No fatalities is good news.

Was the tram sponsored by United Utilities, they are causing chaos on the grand scale, a sort of Network Rail in the city.
