AN 11-year-old swimmer who beat leukaemia has gone one better than Olympic hero Chris Hoy.
Beth Morris struck gold FOUR times at the British Transplant Games.
Her achievement comes after she was given a 30 per cent chance of survival six years ago as she waited for a bone marrow transplant.
Now she will represent Britain at the World Transplant Games in Australia next year.
Beth, from Radcliffe, was diagnosed with leukaemia in 1997 when she was 17 months old.
She endured six months of chemotherapy and was isolated from other children because of the high risk she would pick up an infection.
Beth seemed to have recovered but had a relapse in 2001 when she was about to start school. Luckily a bone marrow donor was found in Germany.
Beth, who swims six days a week at Broughton Baths, took up the sport because she hopes to one day swim with dolphins.
Cyclist Hoy, from Salford, won three golds in Beijing.
