FELLOW passengers of two women kicked off a holiday plane amid claims they had tried to open a door at 30,000ft have rubbished their protests of innocence.
And the airline has vowed to recover costs of the emergency landing from them.
Leanne Connor, 26, and pal Lynette York, 27, were booted off a flight from Kos to Manchester after allegedly hurling abuse at cabin crew and passengers and swigging from a bottle of vodka they took on the plane with them.
Their actions forced the pilot to make an emergency landing in Frankfurt, where they were arrested by German police.

to see the girls being escorted off the plane in Germany.
The women, from Salford, claimed the incident was `blown out of all proportion'. They denied trying to open a door and said they were `just two girls who went away for a week and had a drink on the plane'.
But their story has prompted a deluge of scathing comments on the M.E.N website.
And a number of passengers on the same flight have contacted the newspaper claiming the women's version of events is `utter nonsense'.
Beverley Allott, 49, a veteran of 28 visits to the Greek island, said: "They were absolutely out of their heads. I was behind them at the airport when they tried to get through control with a different bottle of vodka.
"Security wouldn't let them through so they turned round, put towels down in the car park and drank it out there.
"They should never have been let on the plane in the first place."
Beverley, from Dukinfield, said their behaviour on the flight was `appalling'.
"Leanne did try to open the door - she said she needed some `fresh air'," said Beverley.
Her comments were echoed by 20-year-old student Nick Simpson, who had been away with his girlfriend.
He said: "It was an absolute nightmare. What they said in the papers is complete rubbish."
The airline, XL Airways, said it was intent on recovering the cost of the diversion.
A spokeswoman said: "We will not tolerate any behaviour considered a threat to the safety of our passengers, crew or property."
The women were released and paid more than £1,000 for flights home. They now face an anxious wait to learn of their fate from German authorities.

Only at Manchester will you see people drinking at 6am. This attitude of 'the holiday starts here' is crazy.
Why the need to get tanked up two hours before boarding a flight at 8am and then have another beer with your in flight breakfast? It's not just those going on holiday with groups of friends either, it's families.
I'm all for having a few to drink but I can't even think about it until after 1pm not 6am.
Anyway, if these pair want to get hammered in bars on their holiday then no problem, but when you are sharing your space with the public you should respect others and tone it down a bit. If you are on a plane you do not get stuck into your duty free - no argument.
One of this pair hadn't seen her child for a week and if she had made it to Manchester I'm sure it would have been a fine site to see your mother after a litre of vodka. And some wonder why we have a generation growing up who have no respect for anyone but themselves.
Top and bottom is that a pilot will not divert a plane for little reason.
Not once have I heard these two apologise to any of the other passengers that they inconvenienced. If I was on this flight I would be launching a private prosecution against them.

Also unfortunately getting 'tanked up' on vodka seems to be normal behaviour for many women these days.

That makes it alright then does it? Next time you are on a flight if some alcy tries to open the doors will you just carry on reading the paper safe in the knowledge that the door won't open? What if you are a nervous flyer?
Many defenders of these two say 'they didn't try to open the doors' or 'the doors can't open'.
Well what about drinking from duty free bottles, abusing the crew, abusing passengers, being smashed on a plane etc.
You don't just divert a plane if a passenger is a bit offhand or a bit tipsy.
What about the effect on other passengers who were delayed? What about people waiting at Manchester to collect relatives? They were waiting for three hours longer and when you hear that the plane has diverted what do you think? You think that there has been a fault with the plane. You worry.
What about the passengers who had to put up with their behaviour? What about the people who were delayed for a few hours on the planes next flight?
No apology from these wimmin, just the attitude of 'we were just having a good time'.
People are sick and tired of people like this.

Maybe it had dawned on these pair that they could be in deep. The plane is diverted, German polizei board the plane to arrest you. I would hope that this did sober them up a bit, I'd be worried if it didn't.
So what you are saying is that because they weren't shouting and fighting off the Police that they must be innocent?
Women are getting worse than blokes by the day. They had been liberated but liberated to do what? Take on the worst characteristics of men. Wow, that's realise progress.
