A 10-YEAR-OLD girl was shot in the face with an airgun after being taunted over her Scottish accent.
Police say an eight-year-old boy fired the BB gun at the girl as she played in a park.
She was hit above her left eyebrow but was not injured, though she was `upset and shaken'. The boy had been making fun of the girl's accent before he shot her.
William Gallagher said his daughter Natasha, from Glasgow, had a lucky escape.
He said: "It could have been really nasty if the pellet had hit her in the eye. Children should not be running about with these kind of weapons."
Police said that inquiries were continuing into the incident, which happened at about 7.50pm on July 23 at Barlow Park in Astley Bridge.

not as dramatic as "Girl, shot in face" but lets not dwell on the facts.
Not condoning the teasing or the BB incident only trying to inject a good old dose of perspective.

Personally I would never buy a child a toy gun of any kind - sad when we used to run around playing cowboys and indians!! Times have changed tho and maybe things like this should be banned.

This boy was clearly wishing his plastic gun was real so he could do her proper harm. He should be hauled before the experts to examine his psyche.
Am I serious? Not really.
