IAN Brady will be `terrified' by the release of Myra Hindley's secret prison files, says Winnie Johnson.
Her son Keith Bennett, 12, was abducted, killed and buried on Saddleworth Moor by Brady and Hindley in 1964, but the pair wouldn't admit to the murder until 1987. Keith's body has never been found. Winnie, 75, believes that by putting the case back in the spotlight the files will help intensify the search for her son.
She told the M.E.N: "I think seeing the case back in the papers will terrify Brady and he'll be thinking of something he can do to get to me.
"He knows I've got a hope of finding Keith while it's in the public eye and this will frighten him to death. Losing control is something Brady hates, and he can't control the release of this information. He will be watching and reading the news closely."
On Monday night, Winnie received a phone call from an aide of Home Secretary Jacqui Smith about the release of the papers and whether she had any requests for the Home Secretary. Winnie said: "I've asked the Home Secretary to keep putting pressure on Greater Manchester Police to find his body."
Winnie also said that she thought that Hindley's 1987 request to have hypnotherapy to help police with their search for Keith's body was a twisted game of `make believe'.
She said: "I first raised the idea that Hindley should be hypnotised. But just before she was supposed to be hypnotised she fell down the stairs and it never happened.
"She'd have found another excuse, some way or another. I don't think Hindley would ever have done it, it was part of her game. She wanted to make believe she was going to do it.
"The both of them have tried to manipulate me all my life, but I wrote to her and said you might have manipulated my boy but not me - you will never get into my mind.
"She did those murders with him and she knew full well where Keith was. She lied about Keith's murder so she could lie about knowing where the body was. Hindley would never see me because I knew the truth about her. She's evil - you need only look in her horrible eyes to know that."
A letter sent from the governor of Risley Remand Centre on December 6 1965 gives authorisation for Ian Brady to be given letters Myra Hindley had sent to him.

In regards to the poster who said he should be burnt alive, you are coming very close to the evil that exists in all of us.

Ian and Myra are the truest embodiment of evil that you could ever see.

Give it a try. Obviously it was a terrible thing to happen, but it won't help being angry about it now when it happened so long ago.
