HUNDREDS of charity runners are to raise cash in memory of a murdered schoolboy.
Joe Geeling, 11, a cystic fibrosis sufferer, was stabbed to death by Michael Hamer, 15, a fellow pupil at St Gabriel's RC High, Bury.
Hamer used a wheelie bin to dump his body in nearby Whitehead Park.
The annual Joe Geeling run will be held at the Bolholt Country Park Hotel in Walshaw Road on Sunday.
The five-mile run has been organised by Lavender Hotels and sponsored by Ramsbottom Kitchens.
Friends and fellow pupils of Joe's are due to take part, alongside police officers who worked on the case in March 2006 and charity runners from across Greater Manchester.
