11pm my ****. i left at 4pm on sunday when the police arrived.
do the evening news do things differently up north? i thought news was meant to be truthful.
funny how you say the event was shut down by 11pm saturday, when i didnt even get there until 4am sunday morning, and it was going strong.
i enjoyed a nice 12 hours there before the police came in and destroyed sound equipment and smashed innocent people who were merely in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The party was deep in the moors, no animals were around. and the nearest house was at least 3 miles away. there was no way that residents were disturbed by music.
The party was shut down by heavy handed riot police at 4pm on the Sunday. not 11pm as stated. Several people were hurt seriously by batons.

The police must of been on a good overtime rate on sunday.
20 riot cops, 8 mounted police, 6 motorbikes, 8 dog handlers and the helicopter for about 2 hours.
All they had to do was ask nicely and I think most of us would of gone.

i left the rave at 4pm on sunday not 11pm saturday, when the police came with vicious dogs, riot gear, horses and motorbikes. They stood on the side of one of the hills trying to provoke the people at the rave. Most people tried to ignore them and have a good time when they crashed the rave and started searching tents and cars. Police helecopters were circling the rave and could obviously see that we were all just haveing fun. I think that it was a waste of police time, people could have been killed whislt the police wasted their time. On the way into the rave police officers were stood at the bottom of the track LAUGHING at the cars going past, this was obviously unprofessional and was very rude. On the way out the same police patrol unit was just sat watching and laughing at the cars again. At the end of the day they can shut down all the raves they want but there will be more ... the police need to understand that some people were just there for the music and only a minority of people were doing drugs it was mainly alcohol. When the police raided they wouldnt let people past and then just went at them with battons seriously harming a few people. On the way through i am an eye whitness to police smacking cars with battons and damaging wing mirrors i was outraged by this.
no-one was causing any trouble and the police were all stood in a line just waiting for people to kick off. no need for them to shut it down, was miles from any1 or anything and doing no harm to anyone.
what harm were we doing in a dis used quarry right up in the hills? i spoke 2 a few locals i passed on my way home and they were completely un aware that a rave was even happening! so why the heavy handed riot police,with dogs horses and the rest of it.
i witnessed some disgusting things when police turned up..they beat people whilst they were lying on the floor,they smashed peoples cars,they encouraged their mangy mutts to rip into people just trying to defend themselves. but because of the media spin these attacks will go unheard of,if it were the other way round and ravers were causing the harm it would have been front page news.. it makes me sick to think that the very people who are supposed to protect can be so aggresive and out of hand.i dont know which were the animals,the dogs or the batton wielding thugs? long live the free party.

well wat a load of rubbish. police didnt stop this party till like 4pm sunday night.there was no trouble till the police turned up, they were hiting men,women lettin there STUPID dogs bite people aswell.. all i have to say is, Manchester police YOU MAKE ME SICK!!!!! speakin from norwich.

The police in this instance were no better than the rangers supporters who rampaged through our city.

I left a couple of hours before the cops came in, luckily. we were just having a nice time, everyone was friendly and you couldn't hear anything at all down the road, coz it was inside a quarry. They just want to smash peoples rigs so they can't play any more parties. If they kick everyone off then nothings going to get cleaned up afterwards either.
Someone up in Manchester should sue the police and their top officers for abuse of authority. Let them prove in court that the rave was disturbing the nearest residents a mile an a half away. This Police abuse of peoples right to life has gone too far. It has to be stopped. In another time and place, people would fight back with guns.
What a party. Was phat until the angry mob came and ruined it. I dont understand why they have to be so volent.Not only towards the people but also ripping up the equipment!!!! I am a small build female and got hit so hard round the legs it took me off my feet. my legs came up in DARRRK bruises.they are still there now,3 weeks later.I found the whole armed police thing with horses,helicopters,dogs,batons,shields a bit over the top considering. seems like a good excuse for them to have some fun with the resourses that WE>>THE TAX PAYERS pay for.......SICK!
