AN artist is swapping the deserts of Afghanistan for the historic lawns of Tatton Park.
David Cotterrell, who has spent the last few months producing art in Kabul and Helmand Province, is one of 18 artists with work on show at the Tatton Biennial this weekend.
Mr Cotterrell's work, entitled Little Sheep, is a series of trick-of-the-eye photographic panels, which will be placed throughout the gardens during the contemporary art event.
He has taken inspiration from Humphry Repton's Red Book, produced exclusively for the estate by the 18th century architect. Mr Cotterrell said: "I hope people will see the works as slightly amusing attempts to modify nature."
Tatton Biennial curators Danielle Arnaud and Jordan Kaplan said: "It will be an exciting weekend."
