COMPLAINTS that Tatton MP George Osborne failed to register £500,000 in donations have been upheld by Commons sleaze busters.
But the Standards and Privileges Committee says that because of confusion over the rules, the Shadow Chancellor should not be criticised.
They said other members of David Cameron's Tory top team, who also did not register donations, should be urged to do so.
Two Labour MPs reported Mr Osborne for failing to include the cash donations in his personal entry in the register of MPs' interests because it came via Tory HQ and was used to run his office.
The committee said: "It became clear that a similar policy of not including in their register entries details of financial support received from Conservative central office was followed by most members of the shadow cabinet."
The Commissioner for Standards upheld the complaint but said `it would not be fair or reasonable to criticise him'.

MEN - Please don't forget to add that the reason that it would not be fair or reasonable to criticise him is that the Conservative Party had gone to the Standards Commissioner and didn't declare it on the Comissioners advice.
Labour being the New Nasty Party are trying to make out that it is immoral to receive donations from companies to run offices. But it seems fair and proper from Gordon Brown to Receive donations for his Leadership campaign from Unions and companies.

What Leadership Campaign? He was elected unopposed.
He has no policies other than Tax it or Ban it Daily Mail Ideas.
He stole half his new ideas from the Conservatives
He is trying to use Manchester for the Con Charge experiment and using the Local Transport Act to remove Council veto powers
He took our Casino and gave us nothing.
He has spent £2.7bn to win a by-election and still failed to help 1m of the poorest people in his last gimmick.
And the best they can try and pin out the Tories is this.....
And Gordon Brown still hasn't been to Crewe. What an asset he is.
Bye Bye Gordon
