A FAMILY of Stockport County fans says the club has scored an own goal with its funday.
Stephen and Victoria Mallard and children Hayden, nine, and five-year-old Jessica snapped up a £10 family ticket for today's event at Edgeley Park.
But they were left fuming after discovering the family ticket was for just ONE adult and two children.
The funday, promoted by club sponsor internet bank Smile, includes watching the top of the table League Two clash with MK Dons and a chance to meet players and the club mascot.
Victoria, 27, from Woodley, said: "The definition of a family in the dictionary says parents and children. I have nothing against single parent families but this excludes parents who are still together or married.
"If it is a real family ticket there should be an option for one or two adults."
Hayden, a pupil at St Mark's primary, was given a letter at school advertising the event.
He said: "It is not fair that we can't all go together because it's for one adult, and both my mum and dad want to go."
The club said thousands of people had taken advantage of the offer, but it is prepared to look at how it is worded.
Managing director Mark Maguire said: "It's a great shame that a great initiative has caused any confusion or upset.
"We are proud that over 2,000 people have enjoyed the same offer so far this season, but if we need to review the wording we will gladly do so.
"The fact remains that Mrs Mallard and her family could enjoy a vital promotion clash at Edgeley Park for just £20 if they bought two family tickets.
"We have already created hundreds of new, loyal County fans through this and other community initiatives."

I am in a two-parent family and was more than happy to take advantage of what was a very generous offer on Stockport County's part, especially as this was one of the biggest games of the season.
Maybe this couple should put their kids first and decide between them, like normal human beings, which is to take the kids to the match.
Or maybe, as tohers have pointed out, shell out another tenner and take two more kids - still great value for football in this day and age.
Shame on them for being so self-pitying, and shame on the MEN for printing such a ridiculous tale.
