A WOMAN who parked her car by a no parking sign behind a nightclub was stunned to return and find the question 'CANT READ?' (see gallery) sprayed across the body panels.
Rachel Ward (pictured) parked behind the Ruby Rooms in Stalybridge to catch a train to Manchester - but didn't spot a sign requesting 24-hour access for a fire exit.
She was horrified when she returned hours later and found the graffiti spray-painted on the side of her VW Polo in big, bright letters. All four tyres had also been slashed.
Despite her anger, she said she had to chuckle because the dopey vandals missed the apostrophe from the word 'can't'.
Rachel, 27, from Stalybridge, said: "I thought they had cheek asking if I can't read when they clearly can't spell.
"The vandalism was bad enough, but then they add insult to injury by forgetting the apostrophe in can't. It takes a certain type of person to do something like that - and it's probably the type that didn't pay too much attention in school.
"Or it could have been done by young children, who are still learning the basics."
Vandalised
She added: "I was shocked when I saw that someone had vandalised the car.
"The annoying thing is the inconvenience of having to get the damage fixed."
Having previously parked free of charge behind the Ruby Rooms, Rachel and friend Rebecca Smith didn't think twice about leaving their vehicles there again.
What they failed to notice was a new sign above one of the venue's fire exits, which said `fire exit - please keep clear. 24 hour access required - parked vehicles will be clamped'.
Rachel ended up spending more than £120 to repair the damage to her car.
Rebecca, 27, also from Stalybridge, had the same words sprayed on her Ford Focus Sport and three tyres slashed.
She said: "I don't understand why they just didn't write a note and put it on the car.
"My car was not parked near the fire escape. I've parked in that area and never had any problems before."
Police are investigating.

How shocking that previous commenters think vandalism is acceptable behaviour.

It would very different if you had parked somewhere in error and then had you car tyres slashed and spray painted. VERY DIFFERENT!
Ms Ward is not bothered about anything is spelt what she is annoyed at is that these vandals are getting away with this time and time again. Yes! clamp the car or get the police to put a ticket on the car but if we all took matters like this into our hands then what's next?

"My god! Just listen to you people. Have you never parked somewhere in a rush and not noticed a small sign"

I doubt that very much!
How would you possibly know! I can assure you when Ms Ward left her car in that space she did'nt - and thats the point!
