TIMPERLEY golfer Jeff Slaney is one of the first winners in this season’s MENWN Golf Trophy.
Jeff was drawn out of the hat from early entries for this year’s competition to win a superb prize of a Rife putter, as used by European Order of Merit champion Justin Rose.
Jeff, a member of Northenden Golf Club, was the men’s singles winner and the ladies’ pairs prize of a Rife putter each went to Ashton-under-Lyne’s Jacqui Dawber and Sandra Qualters. A delighted Jeff, a regular in the MENWN Trophy, said: "I have enjoyed every game I’ve played in the competition since it began and it’s a great tournament well organised by WGTB Golf. Hopefully it won’t be the only prize I win this season."
The prizes were donated by Ian Waddicar of Golf and Sports Supplies and more details on how to obtain the Rife Putters can be obtained from Ian on email ianw@golfandsportssupplies.com or at www.rifeputters.com.
