"I would appeal to anyone that witnessed the incident to contact us. More importantly I want to hear from the person that was driving the car. He or she may not be aware of the extent of the injuries this woman suffered. It's vitally important you come forward and speak to police."

A friend of mine lives in Rusholme and told me that everybosy he knows uses false documents for their cars because otherwise it is 'too expensive'.
Aparently they have a false insurance co who you can give the details of to police but they just get a recorded answerphone message and in his words 'everyone in Rusholme does it'.
He even said that said that many of his mates brag about the fact they have given police false details and use the fact that they go by several names to get away with it.
I was also shocked to hear that there are also a huge number who lease cars under false names / bogus credit scores etc and never make payments.
This is a much bigger problem than most people would ever realise and the police need to crack down on it fast!
