DRIVERS are being advised to avoid Hazel Grove during this evening's rush hour as burst water main caused part of the road to collapse.
Police were called to Bramhall Moor Lane at about 3pm this after a purple Ford Escort had become stuck.
The A6 from Stepping Hill is closed up to Jackson's roundabout and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
