THE driver of this Renault Clio walked away unscathed from the wreckage after a smash in Rochdale.

He did not need hospital treatment when the car ended up on its roof after being involved in a collision with a black Fiat Bravo on Queensway.

The Clio driver managed to scramble from the badly- damaged car before the emergency services arrived.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Ambulance Service said: "It looked pretty horrific, but when we got there paramedics only saw one person walking around with a cut on their hand and they did not require hospital treatment."

Police received several emergency calls from people who witnessed the accident and feared the worse.
