FAMILY and friends of a mother found by her daughter stabbed to death have attended her funeral.

Sarah Melia was discovered at the bottom of the stairs of her Horwich home by her 15-year-old daughter, Meghan.

The killer of the 34-year-old mother-of-two, pictured, is still at large despite a major police investigation.

The knife used to kill her was found in nearby Mary Street East. Police are still looking for two men captured on CCTV around the time of Ms Melia's death.

Two men have been arrested and released on bail in connection with their inquiries.
