A BIKER has died after his 600cc Kawasaki was in a collision with a car.

The 42-year-old man suffered fatal injuries in the smash which happened at a junction on the Woodhead Pass, near Crowden.

The driver of the car, a blue Citroen Saxo, is thought to have been unhurt.

Derbyshire police have launched an investigation.

The collision happened at the road's junction with Woodhead Road just after 5pm on Saturday.
