TEENAGER Neil Sayle's pride in his home town is there for all to see.
For his winning picture in a photographic competition has now become the official Stockport postcard.
Neil's picture of the town's viaduct at night was selected as the winner from 50 entries in the Stockport Snaps competition.
The competition was part of the council's community pride campaign, launched last summer to make Stockport smarter and safer and to encourage community pride and spirit. Neil's camera work was so good that his winning picture was turned into the Stockport postcard.
Other images can be sent as e-postcards from the council's website, www.stockport.gov.uk.
The main picture has been turned into a postcard which will be available from Stockport Tourist Information Centre, the town hall reception and the town's libraries.
It is also possible to send an e-postcard of the winning photo, as well as one of the three runners up, from the council web site.
Neil, 18, of Bredbury, was delighted that his entry took the top prize. He said: "I'm a keen amateur photographer and to have one of my shots turned into a postcard is remarkable.
"That picture highlights two of Stockport's major landmarks - the Viaduct and the Pyramid. And when I see those familiar sights, they make me proud as they remind me of home."
Coun Sue Derbyshire said: "The standard of entries was extremely high. But congratulations to Neil - the picture is fantastic. The entries showed there are some beautiful places in Stockport that people are rightly proud of."
