The elegant locomotive, which recaptures the spirit of the golden age of rail, will travel along a 100-mile Pennine route once a month after a trial in November proved immensely popular.
Only 20 seats on the 400-seat train remain available for tomorrow's trip.
A spokesman for promoters Past-Time Rail, said: "We've been running steam-hauled day excursions for 12 years now and I can't remember such an enthusiastic response before. It's as if everyone has been waiting for just such a train and are willing The Cotton Mill Express to be a success."
The train is actually two locomotives, normally based on the East Lancs Railway, at Bury, which pull a collection of coaches from the 1950s.
It passes many of Lancashire and Yorkshire's former cotton and textile mills on a route through Stalybridge, Diggle, Huddersfield, Hebden Bridge, Burnley, Blackburn, Darwen and Bolton.
