A DOG has been shot dead in a sickening attack in Salford.
The Labrador cross had over 30 pellets embedded in its body after it was discovered on Ascot Walk in Pendleton shortly after 3am this morning.
Police were alerted after receiving reports that a hooded youth was seen putting a gun into the mouth of a dog.
He was disturbed and ran off towards Haymond Close.
The dog, whose owner has not yet been traced, was taken to Wardley Clinic but died a short time later.
Det Insp Simon Collier, from Swinton CID, described the incident as a 'needless and brutal attack on a defenceless animal'.
He added: "The nature of the wounds suggest this was a prolonged attack. Someone may have had their pet cruelly taken away from them.
"Whoever did this may have come home in the early hours of this morning and I would urge anyone who knows who carried out this shooting to contact us."

And i wouldn't alter the way i dress or look just because someone disagrees with it,if i did it would show i have a weak character,if everybody caved to other peoples opinions then nobody would get anywhere because theres always people who have a difference of opinion.
