A man was shot in the thigh last night. The victim, in his 20s, arrived at Manchester Royal Infirmary just before 9pm.

Police believe his injuries are linked to reports of a shot being heard in Aden Close earlier.

The incident comes two days after locals reported seeing 25 armed men marched through the streets triggering a massive police operation.
