THERE was rush-hour disruption this morning after a car was abandoned on tram tracks.

Services were delayed while police moved the silver Audi from opposite the Bridgewater Hall.

A man was seen running away from the scene towards Deansgate at about 5.40am and detectives are appealing for witnesses.

It is understood the car was stolen and police are trying to trace its owner.
