The former Strictly Come Dancing star played discs for pupils at Lostock College, Selby Road, Stretford, to kick off the 'Make me a DJ' programme.
The scheme will see DJ-ing introduced to the music curriculum across Britain, taking the artform from the clubs to the classroom.
Organisers say the module is a 'unique initiative'.
They claim it will 'revolutionise music lessons, marking the end of the painful recorder and violin recitals and replacing them with a much funkier sound'.
