DRUGS stolen from Christie Hospital could prove fatal if taken without medical supervision.
Police are warning the public to be on the look-out for the morphine tablets which disappeared from the drugs store at the cancer hospital last week.
The tablets, which contain 200 milligrams of morphine each, are in 10 clear capsules with beige granules inside.
They are in a foil-backed dispenser with the word Zomorph on the back.
A GMP spokesman said: "Nobody, under any circumstances, should ever take medication that has not been prescribed to them.
"These particular tablets are so strong they could kill someone, and we would urge everybody to be very vigilant and refuse anything offered to you. If you see these tablets anywhere, call the police.
"If you do think you or someone you know might have taken one of these tablets please call 999 immediately."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 872 5050 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

If it's a patient - you should be ashamed.
If it's a visitor, I hope your friend or loved one finds out.
Probably the best thing for the scumbag to do is to take the tablets - all of them.

All drugs should be under lock and key, and only the nurses on duty should have access to them..
