MILLIONAIRE soccer stars are competing for another title - the deeds to a £3m home in Worsley.
Highly-paid new arrivals at Manchester City plus established stars playing for Manchester United have already asked to view details of the 'one-off dream home' which has not yet been built.
Big names from Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic are also interested in the stunning three-storey house in the leafy suburb which has long been popular with United players including Ryan Giggs.
Called The Gramercy, it has already won the Residential Award from the Manchester Society of Architects, and would probably be stylish enough for house-hunter, and Blues manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Waterfall
It ticks all the boxes when it comes to footballers' and WAGS lifestyles, including parking for eight vehicles, outside jacuzzi, electronically-controlled entrance gates, sauna, swimming pool, a multi-level waterfall feature, a modern garden planted with birches and bamboo 'curtains' and slick contemporary interior design.
The house includes a leisure suite at basement level, open plan living space, roof top terrace and four bedrooms.
The developers will offer to design and fit out each room.
It was designed by Stephenson Bell architects and the developer is Darren Barlow, a Manchester-born businessmen whose recently set up Circalife firm specialises in creating modern house designs.
The house will be built on three-quarters of an acre at Leigh Road - known as millionaires row. A 1920s bungalow that once stood on the plot has already been demolished.
Awards
Darren said: "We have had a lot of interest from Premiership footballers. I have been a Manchester City fan for 34 years and the one man who could get a deal on this is Sven. We will be on site in the next eight weeks and it will take about 15 months to build - if Sven wants it we could do it in 12 months.
"It is in the running for further awards and Salford City Council is to feature it in their design bible which they are sending out to developers - showing examples of the high standards of property design they expect in the city."
The views from the rear of the house are over Worsley Golf Course and another golf course is planned nearby as part of an £80m racecourse and leisure park being developed by Peel Holdings, who own The Trafford Centre. The front looks over woodland and countryside.

They wont be liking the traffic outside there between 7-9am! Bet the developers wont mention that.
It looks like that monstrosity Best had in Bramhall.
3 million pounds to live in a suburb of Salford with a l ocal pub with an already identified youth drug problem? Just shows that the one thing money can't buy you is common sense!!!
I looked at the plans for this property and my immediate thought was "YUK". For that amount I would want more than 4 bedrooms anyway. Gotta say if I had that sort of money to spend I wouldn't be living in that pad. There are much nicer properties along Leigh Road for sale anyway.
Especially if you're a Bolton player, Blueboy.
'ave just bin in touch with housing benefit people they say it has to have 5 bedrooms before they will give us the rent money for it.
