PRINCE William's on-off girlfriend Kate Middleton and troubled singer Amy Winehouse have made it into the Collins dictionary for the first time.
They will appear in the biographical section of next month's Collins English Dictionary online Pro-edition.
Other new entrants include Formula One golden boy Lewis Hamilton, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe and indie band The Arctic Monkeys.
Tory leader David Cameron, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, pop star Lily Allen, TV presenter Russell Brand and acclaimed actress Dame Helen Mirren have also made the biographical section.
A Collins spokeswoman said: "We see it as a snapshot of the English attitude.
"We're the only dictionary publisher to include such entries.
"At the moment Kate Middleton is the name on everybody's lips. If she splits up with Prince William again or doesn't marry him, we'll take her out of it."
The new names will also appear in the seventh Concise print edition, which will be published in June 2008.

Freeloaders? In what way? They are a fantastically wealthy family in their own right whom we pay to do a job - which they do very well.
Are you a republican? I suppose you have to look at America to see what an improvement that would be over a democratic monarchy.
PS Had a great day yesterday - thanks for your good wishes.

I'm not sure I am a Republican, but the wealth and luxury and land and priviliges just stick in my craw! But that's enough of my in-laws...

I generally dislike sport. My choice of recreation is sitting on the couch, fag in one hand, lager in the other - watching Time Team or Discovery whilst Mrs Catcher fusses round, making sure I am content. She's a wonderful woman.

Mrs Manchester has me well trained: cooking, cleaning, washing the car, working overtime, yep it's a dogs life for me -- once a year, on her birthday.

Mrs Catcher has her own business and works funny hours (who'd be in the massage game?) so I like to have something hot waiting for her on the table.
So, any road, back to their Highnesses, I can't imagine anyone would want to terminate an institution which has served us well for over a thousand years - and replace with somebody like Blair as head of state. Who can forget the images of King George and Queen Elizabeth strolling around the still smouldering East End telling people they were thinking of them - before darting back to the palace for tea and crumpets.
