COMEDIAN Dave Spikey cut short a sunshine break in Spain to join hundreds of people lining the street outside Northern Rock's Preston branch.

The funnyman, from Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley, was one of more than 200 people queueing outside.

Spikey, pictured, was there from 7am to take out some of his money.

He said: "We were supposed to be in Spain until Thursday but we cut that short as there's been a bit of a panic about this."
