A FLEET of vintage cars drew admiring glances as they gathered for a rally in Manchester.

The A6 classic car rally was part of the celebrations at the Museum of Science and Industry to mark 100 years of transport.

The event is open to any motorist with a classic or vintage car. The vehicles set off from the museum and travelled to Tatton Park, Knutsford.

A host of vehicles was on show including famous, historic and record breaking cars.

Visitors were also able to get a close look at the world's first mobile crane, Manchester-made classic cars such as the Model T Ford and the world's fastest electric boat.

All money raised goes to the Children's Adventure Park Trust.
