What is this world coming too, what kind of person could harm 2 innocent animal's. If anyone has any information please contact the RSPCA straight away please!!!

We live in a world without control? no respect for life even if its a animal.Its time for people (innocent people) to fight back and tell our politicians we want real laws to protect us and our animals..these monsters need executing.

Clearly these dogs were used in dog fighting,even in 2007 we still have stupid idiots that take pleasure in watching dogs fighting.The dogs must have lost the fight which brings shame on the owner so he just dumps them because they are no use to him/her.Staffs are great dogs,its a shame they are used in this way.The people involved need to get a life,if your that bored and in need of entertainment,go buy a playstation you sad pathetic losers.

Disgusting these animals died horrific deaths,the persons responsible should hang.

It's disgraceful. I think people who abuse animals in this way should be shot. I've got a Staff and she's the most loving well-behaved loyal pet you could wish for. It is such a shame that these monsters only see them as entertainment by baiting them to fight and not for the wonderful dogs they can be. Absolute scum they are.

Poor dogs must have suffered terribly. There is no need for somebody to do this. If they didn't want the dogs, they should have taken them to the dogs home or the police. It must have been someone sadistic who took pleasure in doing what they did.

Not many years ago we used to condemn other countries for treating animals badly,Now we do the same. What has happened to our once decent country.

Like other contributors here,I am at a loss as to how someone could do this?Sadly animal abuse has always been with us,from fox hunting,unnessesary testing of products on animals (often merely an exact duplication of a previous experiment),dog fighting etc.There is a need to remind many people,that animals have feelings,and have more in common with humans,than there is different...in terms of happiness,sadness,depression,a need for security etc.Many children would benefit from working with animals,to develop understanding.If such an approach doesn't help nurture greater appreciation of animals for future adults,then perhaps harsher sentences will.Scarily it is an established fact,that those who are sadistic to animals,are the most likely to physically hurt children,a factor which is not lost on the nspcc and rspca,who often work closely with each other.The weak minded and pathetic people who killed these dogs probably won't stop there.

The police should put this on Granada reports and show pictures of the dogs and ask if anyone recognises them from where they live. Someone will know who had the dogs. Thay should go to jail for that.

You are so right Liz,they should go to jail for this.No excuses at all.They may well "graduate"from this. At least if they were in prison,local people and animals would be safer.
