AN award-winning school has launched a `walking bus' to encourage parents and pupils to go green.

The scheme aims to get parents to ditch using cars for the school run to Ringway Primary, Wythenshawe, which has already won a top green award.

Headteacher Greg Aspinall said: "Walking and cycling to school and being environmentally-friendly are all very much part of the school's ethos."
