King, 62, jailed for sexually abusing young boys, has penned The True Story of Harold Shipman, which he has been released on a website.
Although the song makes it clear Shipman was no 'saviour or saint', it suggests the media turned him into a 'demon'.
The listener is asked to hear `the likely true story of Harold Shipman' and implored: "But for God's sake don't fall for a media demon."
King says Shipman's victims were impatient to die with these lyrics: "Some people will sigh when they're waiting to die/Won't you please speed it up as I'm starting to cry/There's one thing he ain't and that's saviour or saint/But a pleading complaint didn't pass him by."
King says while he was in jail he met people who had `spent weeks with him and formed strong ideas about him'.
On the same website, King has previously lamented that no-one considered the possibility Shipman was innocent.

The song is put together with a montage of pictures of Shipman and some of his victims.
James Purnell, MP for Stalybridge and Hyde, where Shipman committed most of his murders, said it `grossly offensive'.
He said: "What is clear is that this is a pathetic attempt by Jonathan King to create controversy to generate publicity for himself, and we should not to give him what he craves.
"We should also remember that Harold Shipman was a cold and ruthless serial killer who preyed on the vulnerable and abused their trust."
Joe Kitchen, a Tameside councillor whose mum Alice was killed by the GP, said: "I'm sickened but I'm not surprised.
"I am disgusted that anyone should want to profit from such a tragic event as this. All it does is bring back terrible memories. King doesn't care whose feelings he treads on, he has not bothered in the past."
Barry Swann, whose mum Bessie was killed by Shipman, added: "I don't credit King, a convicted paedophile, with the sense to think about the relatives and how they will feel.
"I think of my mother every day and it's very difficult, especially when things like this keep coming up."
King served half a seven-year sentence for abusing boys.

This man was convicted of being a abuser of young boys but as yet, has not amitted that what he did was wrong. He craves attention and is getting it, MEN you would be a better news provider if you refused to report this story. Why not put 1 line on the front page saying "we will not report on this paedophile". He walks the street without a care in the world after ruining many lives. Bring back the death sentence.

I think you'll find that Mr King lives in his own inflated, egotistic world, so much so that he can't even tell himself he has done wrong. He's off-loaded the blame on the media. He'll never be accepted back into public/showbiz glare he once commanded, so the best thing he could do is just disappear completely from public life and stop these disgraceful publicity scams. He's made enough money to do so, and hopefully one day he'll reflect on the crimes he committed.

I think this is proof if it were needed that Jonathon King is criminally insane and should never have been and should never be released. I have no doubt he is aiming this diatribe at the press to somehow blame them for being sentenced for his own crimes despite him receiving a ridiculously light sentence. The fact he has no remorse and fails to have empathy for the loved ones of Shipman's victims proves beyond reasonable doubt that he has lost grip on reality.
