The terrorists have already won and are costing us big time in extra security and Police costs, unaccepatble long delays and no parking or drop offs in front of the Airports. Lets all face reality they can blow a dam sight more up than a Disco and Airport, if they really wanted to. Look at the IRA and they were on our doorstep. Yes we all need to have peace of mind, yes we want these extremists caught, but lets face it we really are a hated nation by many more than just people fighting us about Iraq & Afghanistan, they are not bombing Germany, Italy, etc are they? If these extremists hate the UK, one answer is for them to go home, wherever that may be. they need to accept or decline our culture, be a part of our society, or go away. we will have more houses available, more benifits, more hosptital places. We have our army in places like Iraq etc, and lots sat in their barracks here, why are they now not patrolling motorways, airports, etc, what are we paying them for? Let the Police do what they do best and find these extremists. In the meantime we all need normality, no knee jerks actions that affect our basic rights. These guys will always find new methods, targets, whatever the Police do, for everyone caught, 10 more are behind them. Lets get out of Irag and anywhere else now, use them resources to protect our own island and those that want to live here in peace and harmony, whatever colour etc you may be. and whatever your faith.

Maybe thats because the armed forces are not trained to deal with the great british public and that there is no mandate for them to be on the streets of Britain, or are you advocating martial law? If the government make the police employ P.C.S.O.s and had some more real police officers, that have the full range of powers the police would be able to cope better.

And I suppose it made congestion worse - again.

Barring MEN misquoting the police, it looks like the ONLY reason they gave for the disruption is to make it look like they are doing something. No evidence to suggest that suspects were travelling on the M60 at that time.
I'm getting a bit sick of the over the top knee jerk reactions by the authorities. All they do is add to the damage already done.
Get on with collecting the evidence and chasing the suspects to prevent further attacks. Leave public reassurance to the politicians
