Fairground organ stolen

The Marenghi organ
A £1,000 reward has been offered after an antique fairground organ was stolen near Altrincham in Cheshire.

The £80,000 organ was being stored inside a maroon-coloured van which was stolen from Pear Tree Farm, Black Moss Road, Dunham Massey.

The van had been specially altered to transport the Marenghi organ, made in 1903 and described as "irreplaceable".

the vehicle should have been disabled. and if not should have had the wheels removed. hope it was insured, and is recovered. shame these organs are not heard more often.

Surely they can't get too far with something as obvious as that.

Who Ever has taken the Fairground Organ Please treat it with great respect. You cannot replace such an historic item. Do not distroy it or damage it. Just leave it somewhere and call the police.
