A MUM who was killed in front of her children after a motorbike spun off the road in a horrific smash has been named as Lyndsay Oldham.
The 43-year-old was walking with her family along Cockey Moor Road, in Ainsworth near Bury when the powerful Yamaha R1 careered onto the pavement.
Mrs Oldham was crushed against a metal garden fence and suffered serious head injuries, dying at the scene.
The tragedy happened on Good Friday as Mrs Oldham and her family were returning home after celebrating her husband George’s 57th birthday.
Two of her three children David, 17, and Emma Jane, 14, were hurt and taken to hospital, but later sent home. David suffered a broken leg.
The bike had been involved in a crash with a Volkswagen Golf which was turning right into Sumner Avenue. The rider was thrown off the bike which went hurtling towards the pavement where Mrs Oldham was walking with her family.
