A WOMAN has plunged to her death after falling from the roof an NCP carpark in Manchester early this afternoon.
Shocked office workers and shoppers saw the incident which happened shortly after 2pm. Ambulance paramedics were on the scene within minutes, but the woman was pronounced dead.
Police immediately cordoned off High Street, at Shudehill, while an investigation was launched.
Metrolink tram services were cancelled between Piccadilly Gardens and Victoria Station, and bus services along High Street were also suspended. Drivers were being urged to avoid the area.
One shopkeeper whose premises overlook the scene said: "This must be the sixth such incident in around two years. The roof of the car park is so easily accessible, and a child could climb over the protective barriers."

Someone must of seen her and been worried about the way she was acting and they jump straight away, they have to climb up!
I am sorry for the family involved but times like these someone, somewhere have to say, this was our building, our security, we will take some of the blame!
